KALUNGA

Kalunga is an industrial area, located just outside the steel city (about 5 kms.). Noted for its various heavy industries like the sponge iron plants and refractories ,this region is known as Kalunga Industrial Area. Industries like Chariot Cement and Tata Refractories are present here. The Kalunga station here caters to more than 40000 people who live in the region. The station is an important stop for Passenger trains and an Express train also halts here.
